90% of people learn Tai chi for health purposes.
They enjoy the peace and serenity that the art offers. They benefit from the improved health, strong legs and achieve graceful pain-free movement.
YOUR INVITATION TO ADVANCE YOUR JOURNEY, CONTINUING WHERE YOU LEFT OFF IN BASICS.
In the Tai chi Basics we had a dual objective:
1) the emphasis for good health, flexibility and longevity, and
2) introduction of Tai chi energy, chi, softness, Stillness in motion etc.
In the Advanced Course, you continue objective #1 -
the pursuit of flexibility, dexterity and mind-body coordination, in whatever age group that you are in.
You will continue seeking out ever improving on the balance of body and mind and emotions. The advanced exercises and drills continue that journey.
Now, in addition, the second (#2) aspect, namely the applications of the Energies, Softness, and Stillness is emphasized and developed in the Advanced course.
The Tai chi classics and the Tai chi Treatise contains the secrets and discoveries of the ancients on energy cultivation, and applications of yin yang and of the softness aspects. This is taught in the course.
You will learn the actual nut-and-bolt moves and mindsets necessary to achieve the high ideals of 4 ounces deflecting 1000 pounds (四两拨千斤), Using mind-intent and not brute force (用意不用力)
Subduing the hard with the soft (以柔制刚).
The Advanced course is the icing on the cake. It is like the Crown Jewel of the art.
Without it you are still outside looking in, at only a fraction of the Tai Chi whole.
The door is open, you need to enter into the parlour.
I will take you behind the scenes in the Tai chi Advanced course. This is the culmination of my teachings over the years, especially all the last 10 years.
In the past I've taught the various components of the Advanced course in my classes as well as in Week-end Energetics Workshops and in my high paying one-on-one students.
The course serves all styles of Tai chi, and other soft arts as well are welcomed. Its core principles are non resistance, naturalness, yielding, applications of yin-yang and Flow.
I've put it together in an online course where I reveal the actual drills, exercises, foot work and other secrets that I DO MYSELF, and have been teaching indoor students.
I pull back the curtain on developing the actual mindset to take you step-by- step to climb the mountain of Soft Art.
To attain calmness in the midst of potential chaos. That calmness could make all the difference in your response to external, unforseen threats. Or to know how to handle difficult people or situations in your life.
You will understand, for the first time, the application and nuances of moves that you learned in the basic course of Tai chi moves - for example a circling of the wrist. Or a rising of a right hand whilst the left is lowered. Or the sinking of the chi, and many others.
FALLACY OF "IT TAKES A LONG TIME TO MASTER TAI CHI".
That is a general fallacy in the public discourse that it takes a long time to master Tai chi skills. Well this kind of thinking is a trap. First off you're already halfway through the journey. You have taken some of the difficult steps of learning. You already have the basic skills of relaxation, balance, coordination, and continuity of movements. You know mental and physical coordination.
While it does take time to learn and master, this does not equate to being difficult. It is NOT physically difficult. There is NOT the limiting factor of strength or speed or difficult dexterity such as doing any somersault or other such (dangerous skills). No, the skill you require is to be even softer, even calmer in the face of (imagined ) danger, and even more aware. The skills are how do you use your mental power.
It is precisely this that astounds the world that a master of 80 years of age can defeat several young men.. How can this be due to physical strength and speed?
Your invitation to a free session of 1 1/2 hours of new exercises to complement those that you already know from Basics. And taking the reeling, continuous energy and the Moves and techniques further based on Softness, Being centred, Breathing and others.
Come and join this FREE SESSION. Although it is free of charge it does not mean there is no value in it. There is tremendous value because it shifts your perception and introduces you to what is possible. And it continues your Tai chi exercise program to a whole new level.
Why am I doing this now? Well with the two years of lockdowns I had developed my programs online. Through the online platform I've tested it and see it works - that people can learn Tai chi Advanced online. The course is a hybrid whereby it is conducted exclusively online with personal drills, shadow boxing moves, new qigong exercises and more.
However, the course has a Face-to-Face component (a physical workshop) that complements your online training. You can view some of the students' feedback and testimonials in the video below. So the online space allows you to attend wherever you are. In the "old days" with physical classes, I had to come to that venue. In the online space you practice in the comfort of your own home and join with students from different parts of Malaysia and in fact in previous classes - from different parts of the world including people turning in from Australia, Thailand, Singapore, USA and the UK.
